Dear good folks at white good forums. I am trying to find out the model name of a BOSCH dishwasher which is more than 5 years old. There is no serial number sticker anywhere in the front and sides of the dishwasher. I have attached a picture of the dishwasher and any help or advice is highly appreciated.

    Kind regards

Possibly 25+ models in that range. What’s the problem with it anyway?

Many thanks for your reply. It seems like something has stuck in the drainage system, when I try to turn it on the pump starts to make a strange sound. The filters are clean so it may be something beyond that. I am looking for a manual that can help me either open and clean any blockage in the drainage system otherwise I am unable to book a repair without a model number. I guess the model number doesn’t need to be accurate. I can probably make do with a similar model number as well. So any possible model number will help.

Remove the drain sieve and unclip the grey plastic pump cover. Carefully check around the pump impeller for something stuck in there. Use a torch for a clearer view. (Beware in case broken glass or other sharp objects in there.)

If you shine a light on the metal lip under the hole for the door lock you’ll notice very faint etching information which will include the model, FD & serial numbers.

For pump access you’ll need to place the appliance on its side, remove the base cover. The drain pump will be visual, it’s held with a clip and then twist off.

The appliance Martin has advice on is a different version, easily ID as yours has a grey plastic base, the model Martin is referring to is stainless steel.

Hi Martin, thanks very much for your reply and help. I really appreciate that. I am struggling to open the plastic pump cover. There are no obvious screws or clips that I can un-clip to inspect pump impeller. Can you kindly advise. I have attached two pictures to show the grey pump cover.

Again thanks very much for your help.

Yes indeed, lay the machine in its back, remove metal baseplate, access to pump is obvious from there on……

    Closing the loop.

As advised got the dishwasher out and open the pump cover as advised. Used a screw driver to get some leverage during twisting but got there in the end. There were indeed two pieces of bone there. Cleaned the impeller, put everything back and hey presto, dishwasher is working again like a charm 🙂

Many thanks for the invaluable advise guys. Much appreciated.
