Can anyone tell me what this Samsung light means?

Hi all,

This light/symbol/icon just appeared on our Samsung washer. It looks like a drum to me but does anyone know what it means? I can’t see anything about it in the user guide.

It’s a Samsung Ecobubble washing machine (model WF80F5E5U4X/EU). The light comes on after a wash cycle has completed. The machine plays its usual happy little ditty upon completion but instead of the control panel turning off, this light stays lit up until you press the power button. Everything seems to work ok otherwise, so I guess it’s some sort of warning…? Bit unexpected as we’ve only had the machine a couple of months.

i would email Samsung with the same picture. i had a look but cant get any info. their manuals a a but stark of info

I’m guessing here. Could it mean its advising to do the drum clean cycle?
(Assuming it has such a thing)

This is exactly what it is. When it lights up, it’s advising to carry out a drum clean using the “Eco Drum Clean” option on the dial. If you don’t carry one out, the light will go off but will reappear after 2 washes.

Thanks all for the replies – as anticipated, you’ve been way more help than Samsung support so far.

You’d think they’d put something in the manual if it’s a light that comes on routinely!

It’s definitely there. Page 30 of the English manual shows the light and explains the meaning. 🙂
