I have a miele KT3534 Sed, stainless steel fridge/freezer. The seal on the fridge door doesn’t suck shut tightly and I’m getting frost on the back wall of the fridge. Its still keeping food cold but I expect its not working v. efficiently.

I spoke to Miele who said I needed to replace the door £570+vat plus call out charges – so it would soon be the same cost as a replacement! How easy is it to replace the seal only and where should I look for a suitable person to do this or is it possible to do it yourself.
    Many thanks

If Miele suggest the whole door it’s likely that the seal doesn’t come off to be replaced 🙁

Many fridge doors are now manufactured this way with the seal moulded in to the door in the factory and are not replaceable.

If you lift the inner part of the seal and look underneath, check if there are any screws to allow it’s removal, if not then it’s a new door or a new fridge by the sound of it.

    Dave.
