Hi people,
After many years of putting up with cooking smells & steam in my “open plan” flat I’m now looking for a new kitchen and cooker.
Part of this will be a chimney hood but I don’t know much about these and would like some advice.
The layout of the kitchen area means that the cooker backs onto an internal wall and a hood would need approx 2M of duct and a hole knocking through a very hard wall.
Question – can I vent straight up ? I’m in a top floor flat and have access to a large loft area for storage. Do cooker hoods allow for a vertical outlet ?
Can you see any objections to venting directly into the loft area or would i be better running a flexible duct to an outlet under the eaves ?
Thanks
Andrew ❓
