ParticipantHi,
All components on this machine have been identified as OK except pressure switches and main board.
Fault occurs when water nears its optimum level during the 2nd valve filling ie. you can hear the machine filling then a 2nd valve kicks in.
At this point the pause light flashes with a constant pulse and 3 of the 6 progress lights light up – wash, rinse, spin.
I can empty the machine by skipping to spin or drain but it will only empty for a few seconds before pause light and the 3 progress lights appear again. I can keep resetting until all the water has gone and then it continues to run ok.
Is anyone able to ID this code and indicate the fault is board or maybe pressure switche/s
Plus is there a fault chart for this type of machine – couldn’t find one in the ‘known error codes’ post.
Thanks
Laurence

Even so I think it is worth trying the machine again but with the dryer element disconnected. 💡

Hi Martin,
Even though (the machine was in the new house when they moved in) they have never used the dryer from new.

Then it is even more likely to be the dryer element, not used it gets damp and loses insulation, very common fault.

The low insulation would have shown up on initial insulation test. But you’ve got to know that you’re looking for anything under FORTY megohms! (It’s in the manual.)

think you will find the drier on this machine is energised for a short while during the spin cycle. Maybe just to keep everything from siezing up.

Thank you all for your excellent guidance.
It seems the low insulation reading was the problem.
Because they don’t use the td, isolating the heater has resolved it.
Result!
Thanks again.
Laurence
PS… Lesson re-learned – don’t take things for granted because they don’t appear to feature in the problem. ;o(
