Can you move a freezer that is still frozen?

Hello, as my american freezer now doesn’t work I am buying a used chest freezer to put in the garage.
I have asked the seller to leave it plugged in and cold as I want to witness that it works.

Once I have seen that it is cold inside I will then unplug it and bring it home………

But can I do this, or can I only move it once it is defrosted?

(I know I have to leave it for 24 hours once it is in the new location to “settle”)

no reason I can think of apart from when it defrosts the water has to go somewhere. as long as it does not get on the electrics then I don’t see a problem
