ParticipantHi I have just plumbed in a candy aqua1000t in, after it being in storage for over a year. It trys to walk over the kitchen and jumps around quite violently its leveled in & on concrete I have looked at the damper pads which were shiny have roughened them up but it didnt make any difference, the pads seem very hard could this be the reason the machine jumps about
any advice would be helpful the pads dont look like they are doing much where they are so hard but maybe they are meant to be like this JoeMarch 23, 2007 at 8:20 am #208698Ritch

Hi there have you checked that the appliance hasnt got the transit brackets in? as this would create the problem described.

Hi Joe with the top off and the mains supply disconected, put your hands on the top of the tub and gentle push it down either side first then both together to see if it is smooth going up and down the same as you would do to test the shocks on your car, this should tell you if the susspension legs/springs are ok or not and it will also let you know if the tub is fouling on anything other than this ???

I am beginning to think that maybe transit bolts are still in although candy’say they should be in the back I think they might be in the top as it doesnt push up & down it is held by 2 bolts through a horizontal bar across the top of the machine unfortunatley I dont have the manual And its not listed in the download area so I am wary about just undoing bolts until I am sure Joe

I’ve never heard of Candy machine having a horizontal bar across the top acting as a ‘transit bar’? :rolls:
Nevertheless if yours has then I suggest you remove it because the drum should be free to bounce up and down on its suspension springs and dampers! 😉
