Hi all. My Candy has stopped drying clothes and they end up wetter than when the drying cycle started. I assume I need to clear fluff from the plastic thing at the back left of the machine but could someone please tell me how I get it open? If it’s not there I should be aiming for, can someone please point me in the right direction?

I dont know the model no but if this is a washer dryer the fault could also
be the lack of water getting into the machine. most condensor washer dryers let a small amount of cold water into the machine to create a cold spot to condense the steam to water no water means hot steamy clothes but no dry

I got the model number wrong. It’s a Candy DQ1500 Washer dryer.

Sometimes very small loads will dry but after two cycles of 80 minutes. Larger loads though end up wetter than when I first put them in after the spin wash.

I’d like to try and get any fluff or kids’ sweet wrappers out that might be causing the problem but I don’t know how to get to the right place.

Most Candy washer/dryers have a pump filter access at the front behind the plastic kick panel. Start by checking if that is clear and that the pump impellor rotates freely 😉

Thanks for the replies. I had to fork out £85 to the Hoover man to get the rubbish out of the filter in the end!! At least I watched him do it so I’ll know how to myself the next time 😯
