ParticipantHi guys
I’ve got a Candy Aquaviva 1000 and it started to boil wash everything recently no matter on the program selected. After a day or so of this it then decided not to heat up the water at all. I am guessing it is something to do with a thermostat or a heater ? Am I right ? If so what sort of money can I expect to be paying to solve the problem ie for parts and then labour.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Dave.

This really is an impossible question to answer, as different companies, had vastly different rates!
If it is the sensor that is faulty, the price for that is negligable, it’s more a problem of who has it in stock 😉

Electronically controlled machine then with electronic heat control also.
One for an engineer but as GB says, it could be one of a few things.
Check the repairs@ link below you can discuss likely costs directly that way 🙂

Hi guys
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I have had an engineer out and the final verdict is that its not worth repairing as he seems to think its the pcb that as been damaged. Which is not good news. So I’m in the market for a reliable washing machine. I will have a look on this site and see if there are any threads regarding choosing a decent machine. Can anyone point me to any relevant threads? If anyone reading this as any recommendations then I’m more than pleased to listen. It might sound a daft question but do all modern washers come with just a cold feed ? I only ask because I only have a cold feed and if i pick a machine with hot and cold then i will need a plumber to install the relevant pipework which would be an additional cost.
Thanks again.
Dave.

Again sorry for the delay in replying.
Thanks for the recommendation. I must admit it sounds like a good machine however it is currently out of my price range. I also like the idea behind the machine . I will pass this information on to anyone I know in the future who as a broken machine or requires a replacement.
Thanks for the help
Dave
