ParticipantFlushed with success after fixing my faulty dishwasher and ordering the appropriate parts via this site I decided to tackle our washer dryer.
The symptoms are poor drying performance and at the end of the drying cycle the cooling process is not happening as the clothes come out steaming. After a bit of dismantling I found the plastic condenser tube well and truly blocked with fluff which I duly removed, “cracked it” thought I. On testing the machine it transpired not to be the case and I am now a bit puzzled. I checked the full route for the hot air and found no other obstructions. The fan is running. I wondered if the water spray device could be at fault, does this spray constantly or intermittently?
Any other ideas?
Also thought it odd that the thermal trip hasn’t kicked in at any point. Thanks
Sean

It sounds like the twin cold fill valve to me, no cold water as you suspected on the drying cycle 🙂
Power off please when checking.

OK I’ve tested it and seem to have proved the valve faulty.
Removing the hose and the spray nozzle and inserting them into a temporary container no water was emitted when test running the machine.
A meter indicated that 240V was present across the terminals of the valve during the test so it would seem to be an open (or rather not) and shut case of a faulty valve would it not?Are the universal ones in your on line shop appropriate for this model ? if so I’ll buy one.

It all points to the valve but a universal one won’t do I’m afraid.
Can you also check the model number as it doesn’t exist according to Candy, better still the product number (part of the serial number) starting 31????
I can check the correct one then for you.
For future readers, please don’t live test ! :zap:

Dave,
The full code is 37616562 0346 9352
The Model Name is Aquaviva 1300.You are quite right to warn others about live testing, if you haven’t been trained in safe working practices it’s best left to those that have.
Thanks
