Candy C1260 – Not Draining

Hi,

Our Candy C1260 doesn’t seem to be draining water. We put it on the normal cycle, but it doesn’t drain and then ignores the spin cycle, so at the end we’re left with the machine full of water.

I tried setting it to a “drain only” cycle, but that didn’t work. It ran for the appropriate 10-15 mins, but it simply rotated a few times without draining the water.

I tried doing the full normal cycle again, but the same result.

Earlier today it did a full load fine.

Any ideas? Unfortunately the back of the machine isn’t very accessible so we haven’t had a look there yet.

Drag it out. Pull the plug. Stick drain hose in the washing up bowl and drain the machine. Tip it back and locate the drain pump. You will have to remove the pump cover and see if there is an obstruction – coins can cause an intermittent problem. If there is nothing there, you will need to fit a replacement pump. THIS is a suitable replacement.
