I have a Candy C4400 dishwasher that has just started leaking part way through it’s cycle. I have checked the door seals and cleaned everthing and if you move the cycle forward past it’s washing phase the pump empties the dishwasher. It does look as if the machine is overfilling during the wash cycle as if you open the door water comes out. The machine was level and I raised the front a bit but this did not help.
I would be grateful for any ideas on what could be wrong with it as it would be a shame to thow out a machine that is otherwise in very good condition.
    Cheers

    Tony

How old is this appliance? Older “proper” Candy dishwashers had a regular problem with the air collection chamber sludging up and causing overfill problems.

    Many thanks Penguin45
I dismantled part of the black water collector at the base of the dishwasher underneath and it did contain sludge. I’ve cleaned it out and it doesn’t leak now.

    A very grateful Tony

Nice one! The old memory still works – haven’t done one for a few years now. Well done!
