Candy CDC266 Reverse Action Dryer – squeaking noise

Hi

Our 19 month old Candy dryer has all of a sudden started making quite a loud squeaking noise when it’s been on for a while. It sounds to me like there’s a bearing or something that needs lubricating, but I haven’t got a clue if it’s something that I can deal with or whether I need to get an engineer in.

Can anybody help – it’s driving us all nuts! 😡

It sounds like it might of worn through the unsubstanial bearing already, and that noise could be the shaft grinding through the metal backplate 🙁

Is it that noisey? Metal on metal noise?

IMHO of if you should fix it… I hate those dryers 👿
