I’ve got a candy cic324 ak fridge freezer that has the red warning light on i think the refridgerant is r600a ??? the fridge freezer is built into a cupboard and is aprox 2 1/2 yrs old
when i took the fridge/freezer out the compressor was hot (could only put my hand on it very briefly).
although it was defrosting after it was taken out it started to freeze up again but when i put it back it started defrosting again I’ve checked the wiring that i can see and none of it seems loose the compressor also stopped for a while i removed it from the cupboard and then put it back again and turned the thermostat down to 2 from 5 and it seems to cool down but the red warning light stays on can any body point me as to possible answers

Is there suficient ventilation?

All too often kitchen installers don’t read the installation guide and close the thing in totally or leave insufficient ventilation which ultimately leads to a compressor burnout, which this sounds like it could well be.
