The drum turns when in drying mode but there is no heat. The dryer indication light illuminates OK, but the ‘high dry’ indication light does not light when the high dry button is depressed. The appliance is around 3 years old – I inherited it when I moved into my flat last year. All seemed to be working fine until around a week ago.

Also – it has always seemed strange to me that the instruction book doesn’t mention a fluff filter – does this machine model have one?

    Thanks

candy machines do have a fluff filter at the bottom of the machine, its the same as the pump filter

as for the not heating.. it could just be the heater cut out tripped out!
common causes are blocked condender or failing to wait fo cool down

immediatley, if you remove the lid ( with plug out ) youll see some resettable stats on the top of the heater box, try resetting them, and see if it works

    hope this helps

Safety thermostat will have tripped, usually caused by the condenser housing filling up with fluff and strangling the airflow. Safeties can be reset, the housing will need to be removed and thoroughly flushed out.

Power off if you intend to do this yourself.
