Candy CMD 146 – Powers up but wont run programme

Hi,
hoping someone can help as im losing my marbles with this machine. Last friday it decided it wouldnt start the wash when asked (not uncommon, it tends to take a few hrs to set up and go) however i have been unable to run any programme for a week now.

power comes on and i can select and programme and even select the delay start option, however it will not run. i have cleaned the filter, checked the brushes, even changed the door lock mechanism!!!

candy wish to charge me £109 to come out and diagnose hte fault, it is only 20 months old. Can anyone give me advise? if you need anything else or feel i have omitted anything, please let me know.

the machine is under a 5 year parts guarantee ie. candy wil fix it for £109.
free parts and by the way its the pcb plug out if checking.

thanks for reply, spoke to candy and they said its most likely a timer fault?
the pcb, what fault would i be looking for? i have googled the pcb to get cost quotes, one is £80 – the main board and the other is £13 – the one at the start/pause.

Can this be easily fixed or will this be a specialist job. i have been quoted £104 for parts and labour from another company.

why would you pay someone £104 for parts and labour when candy will fix it for £109 ok you save a fiver but you get it fixed regardless of the fault and its guaranteed.

on friday i managed to get the machine to work (without a load) and today after having a look at the pcb and putting it back together i placed the machine on a 3hr delay wash. just came home and it is doing another wash (without a load)

Could there be any other faults with it or does it still seem to be the pcb?
