Washing and drying cycles operate normally except that there is no heat. All done cold.

I have had the top and back panel off. I can’t find any reset button. Nothing appears to be wrong. The filter at the bottom front of the machine is clean.

The dryer ducting around the back of the drum has some fluff visible through the duct wall but does not appear to be blocked.

    Any suggestions?

The obvious one : Have you tested the heating element?

Also check for broken wires in the wiring harness and the TOC.

Its obviously the heating element but how do you test it? Also what is a TOC?

Broken wires covered in first post ‘Nothing appears to be wrong’

Although in a more recent examination, a wire from the cold water inlet valve was trapped between the lid and the frame. Its insulation was just about worn though so it might have been shorting against the frame. But the valve operated normally and that circuit, as far as I know, is independent of the heater.

Update: Its a Candy CMD136. The water is heating up ok. Its just the dryer that isn’t working. I’m about to order a new heating element.

But if anyone can suggest anything else.

Previous reply said check the heating element, but won’t say how you check it.
