Candy CMD146-80 – No action

Hi guys,
Select a prog and turn the above machine on, the door locks and nothing, It just sits there, I have found the dryer side or the valve is open circuit & the brushes are quite worn (not drastically though). Is there anything else i should be checking for?

front option buttons stuck in ? ,Motorized selector motor o/c
dry joint on pcb , also check the large 1,5uf cap on pcb can cause this , can get dry joints there its the one with a pile of glue next to it ,
