Ordered a pair of shocks for this washer dryer from Masterpart but they were the wrong ones (holes too small for securing pegs to fit into). Now they tell me these are the right ones listed for my machine part no. 92484518. So im a bit stumped!Any Help Please?
Thanks

Mmmmmm! Im thinking, if the damper hole is smaller than the locating holes then the bolt would have to be narrow enough to fit through the damper leaving a lot of play around the locating holes, if that makes sense.
Thanks

Are holes same size both ends of damper? I’ve seen some mounted one way up and others mounted the other way. Not on same machine of course.

Isn’t there a spacer in the old dampers you need to swap over? I too have double checked and the dampers (92485418 – Black plastic and chrome jobs) are the correct replacement part listed. (Bolted to the drum and pegged to the cabinet base.) 😕

Thanks for your replies guys!
Ive managed to get the shocks to fit. The plastic holes at each end of both types of shock are both the same size, what makes them different is on the ones i bought, have a plastic grommet within the hole and then a metal collar within that, making it too small to take the peg. I had to remove these and replace them with the rubber grommet and plastic collar that was on the origional. Problem is, these were a bit worn (plastic collar was cracked. Still not convinced its the right shock for this machine.
What if you needed to replace the shock because the rubber grommet had perished? Thanks

Participantyep, if the tubs been changed.. and it sounds like it if its got pegs, rather than bolts ( is the bottom securing plate plastic?) then the right part num is 09200657

helo_75 i don’t believe it, just checked the part number you quoted 09200657 on Masterpart and they are the ones for my machine. As you mentioned my machine has a plastic securing plate at botttom. Its a shame Masterpart could not fathom it out after all the phone calls. I knew the ones i had were not right, id even been out to similar machines since and seen the same shocks on them that were on mine (Hoover HNF617) for example.
This job is for a landlord i do work for and with all the tooing and throwing i reckon the job has cost ME about £50 to do and its STILL not right. Thanks for your replies guys!
