can anybody help, I have the above machine and it will not spin, I can hear what seems to be a clock? running from the front of the machine but it will not spin or empty the water. It seems to wash ok

What you should say is that it will not empty or spin, most machines will not go into spin if they cannot empty.
Is there a filter behind a small door or the kickstrip at the bottom on the front of your washer. If so the first thing to do is to make sure that is clear.
Try and lower the drain hose into a bowl, if the water does not flow out freely you will have a blockage somewhere.

If you cannot hear the pump running, it may be jammed by a foreign body, could also be a faulty pump.
