Hello fridge keeps freezing, changed the module but it was a faulty one so have to order a new one…. How on earth do you get to the sensor to change that as its somewhere in all the foam in the back.

Is it ever the sensor or is it always the PCB?

    Cheers

    Re: Candy CPC290FFK Fridge freezer,

    Hi Owain

I have had quite a few sensors go short circuit in these candy appliances causing the compressor to run constantly. take a resistance mesurement on the fridge sensor from the module plug to see if it has gone S/C.

to replace it is not as hard as you think but take the mesurement before you proceed.

    Cheers Bob.

    Re: Candy CPC290FFK Fridge freezer,

    hi
the approx resistance depends on the temp of the fridge sensor,

    -30c abt 47,000 ohms
    0c abt 9,000 ohms
    +20c abt 3.500 ohms

if the module is ok and the reading is below 3,500 ohms then measure
6.5 inches down from the top and 6.5 inches in from the left hand side looking from the rear of the appliance, make a 4 x 4 inch square cut into the backwall and carefully remove the insulation you will soon find it, its hidden behind an aluminuim plate and just slides in from the left.

    Cheers Bob.
