    Hi there…

I have a Candy Fridge freezer and have noticed the compressor is running alot longer than normal. I’m not sure if it is the warm weekend we have had but last night (I noticed) the compressor on all evening. I switched it off at the wall for about 2 minutes before going to bed which seemed to fix the problem only to find the compressor running again when I got up. I turned the thermostat down to 0 as a test and the compressor went off, switching it back upto 2 out of 6 the compressor came back on and has been running so far for a couple of hours.

Everything is being kept cool as expected in the fridge and frozen in the freezer but I am just conserned the compressor will burn out.

The fridge has always made a noticable “gurgling noise” like someone with a constantly rumbling stomach but this is obviously more noticable now. Normally this rumbling settles down after a minute or two once the compressor turns off.

I’ve just noticed the ice droplets building up on the back wall are mellting, the heat exhchanger is slightly warm to the touch and the compressor is burning hot.

I had the PCB changed about 18 months ago as the F/F wasn’t coming on when expected, flashing LEDs etc.

The room temperature is 24 degrees.

Is there anything I should be worried about.
