ParticipantHi I have a candy nova CD112 dishwasher giving trouble on cycles.
Switch it to Reset it empties out what water is in it Drain pump ok.Place it on any of the washing cycles and it has the same problem on
each of them.. It starts to fill the dishwasher with
water then it haults with a very low humming noise this all happens with in 5minutes from starting a cycle.
Few point to note during this cycle. The water in the dishwasher remains cold! when should it heat up? I examined the under neat side and found a component burnt I think its the suppressor from what I can make out from an online diagram. It has the AC input 220-240 V from socket connected to it. I tried filling the dishwasher manually with boiling water and placed it on the intensive cycle but when I start the cycle it just starts filling with cold water and goes in to the hault position again.
I put it on a intensive cycle, I clipped down the door
switch so I could see the machine working with door open.I also shut off the water supply, started the cycle, as it looked for
water I manually filled it with hot water. After 5 minutes or so it hummed away as usual.
I got distracted and let it run and after about 1/2
hour it started to drain. At that point the light in front
started to flash along with a on/off beeper tone.Could it be the control panel? is there any way of checking if the heating element
is working properly?any help appreciated.

Thanks kWatt, I have electro/mechnical experience from my profession but your correct one needs to be aware of the dangers with such a task..
Is it possible to get a manual on line for this dishwasher.
Candy Nova CD112 80, serial no.. 32000087 0422 0600.I have the user manual but is it possible to get a more detailed
service manual for the above machine.August 30, 2012 at 8:03 am #380362kwatt

I have electro mechanical experience but I couldn’t take a car apart or most often even remotely guess at what was wrong with say an engine. 😉
It wasn’t the dangers I was highlighting, it’s the diagnostic procedure that I am.
You need to check components and you’re on the right track I think with the heater as that would be my guess but, if you have electro mechanical experience you should be able to get that out and test it without too much trouble.

Wishful thinking I guess on service manuals, Sometimes they can save a little time, I guess, its roll up the sleves and get to know it the long way..
or
It may end up being recycled… spares can be expensive, control/circut panel for instance..
The thing has only light use for no more tham 3 years, Candy!!?
Thanks for you help. -
