    Hi,
I am trying to repair a Candy dishwasher, model CSF4548-47, showing an er5 code. I understand that this could be a flow through heater fault and have removed this part. I have visually inspected the heater unit and cannot see any signs of burning etc. I am unsure as to what the resistance should be on this type of heater, I have a meter reading of less than 0 ohms, and just want to know if this indicates open circuit/not working. If you have any ideas on what this reading should be or any other suggestions with this fault it would be of great help.
    Many thanks
    Ken

Don’t know the exact reading but should be somewhere in the region of 30 ohms. Make sure you’re test meter is working ok

Thanks for that Andy, thought it should be around there as that is normal for a heater element but wasn’t sure if it would be the same for a flow through heater. Any idea what the cause of failure would be ?
    Many thanks

Not seen many fail tbh. Have had quite a few with earth faults. Is there enough water going in etc

Multimeter is working ok so if it’s only showing less than 0 ohms that would suggest the heater unit, if it should read 30 ? Will also check control board for bad connections/burns and then will give it another run and see what the result is.
    Cheers
    Ken
