    Hi,

Spent a good whole afternoon trying to fix this dishwasher. The fault description was “no heat”, everything else works.

I went and purchased a new heater thinking it was a flow thru heater until when I came to the machine and could not find the sodding heater! I was left baffled, and explored on the parts list and see what was the other heater looks like and noticed a rubber bung on the bottom. I thought it was odd for a heater to stand up and be fully immersed in water which brings to the question where would the heater be located. After a long search and tracing the wires, lo and behold there it was! right at the back inside the rear of the some sort of flow through feeder pipe for the top jet. Feeling rather peeved about that, anyway tested the heater and it is all in perfect nick.

So the question is why is it not heating? The thermostat (located on the front of the sump underneath) got a very high resistance reading of 3k ohms. Unsure if this was the culprit. Everything else are within the tolerances.

As for fault codes and flashing lights, the program lights did flash but the customer said this is normal. It was flashing steady and no pauses in between to give me a hint of fault code.

The other thing, this dishwasher was being fed hot water from the tap and I doubt if this is the issue here as it been working perfectly well until now after 6 years.

I noticed on some of the threads, murmurs about faulty board? Any ideas?

If the heater & thermister are ok, then it can’t be much else other than the module. I wouldn’t have thought this model was old enough for broken wires in the door area.
