    Hi everyone,

Just looking for some advice on the above dishwasher. It is about 3 years old and has worked great until the last 2 weeks.

It started beeping and start/stopping while going through the cycle but remained working and finished the cycle and worked as it should. The problem then started getting worse where it would beep, stop and pause for a minute or so and then kick back in and start again. It would do this continously through out the cycle. It would complete the cycle and the dishes would be clean but it would take longer that the selected program due to all the pausing.

Now it will barely do anything. If and when you start it, it will start filling with water but keep pausing. You will hear the water going in but after a split second it will stop and just pause like that for a random amount of time (20mins) and then just start again for another split second and repeat. I left it on for over an hour yesterday morning and it eventually got past the water filling and I heard the arm spin for a second before pausing again for at least half an hour before I turned it off.

Each time it beeps just before pausing, sometimes it will beep a few times while it keeps going but you know it is going to stop for a prolonged pause.

I have had the door panel off and there is no obvious wiring issue but haven’t checked anything with a meter. I haven’t checked the wiring harness at the bottom of the door as the tape around the wires appears to be fine so I’m assuming the wiring within is fine. The drain pump works. I have changed the inlet solenoid yesterday incase but it made no difference.

I’m guessing but the way it keeps stop/starting am I right to assume it is more likely electrical but not sure where to start? Any advice would be appreiciated.

    Cheers Dave.

What would you do to fix this? Does it need a new board?

possibly, I would check the board for faulty (domed) electrolytic caps first
