ParticipantBeen to the above washer as customer complains of being noisy on spin even on 1000 rpm , checked ok with no load and checked bearings for play ,checked suspension ,checked all ok but add about 10 socks in it put it on spin say 1000rpm and its as noisy as hell ,also spin timer does not go below 1 minute and will keep on until turned off physically , my thoughts are that its down to an electronics fault anybody have any ideas or can confirm and i know it should have 5 years part warranty but this came from the comet closing down sale and customer not sure if its registered thanks

Had one of these on Monday and the front weight was loose, their instruction book stated 12 month guarantee.

Message to Mjw1208 Busted spigot ! explain ?- Another name for the aluminium alloy drum spider unit that bolts/riveted to the rear of the drum, one of 3 arms breaks which coincides with where the paddles are, if you move the drum so a paddle is at 6o/clock and push down and up on the drum you might feel movement where there should be no movement-basically the bearing shaft. Had one a month ago on a Hoover model version on the same theme but that one not onlt zapped the drum spider but zapped the front weight too! Utter rubbish these machines in my humble opinion.

yes sce checked for any movement on the drum bearings and drum spider but this seemed rock solid no movement at all ,will have to have a look at the front weight as the top one was ok when machine was checked thanks for advice
