candy fridge

Hi all can anybody advise me on this fridge problem before i return to fix it. its a candy fridge freezer half and half model 39011598 0307 1129c
first fault is the top hinge but i am able to cure that by reversing the door from left to right as old screw holes are woren. but when powering up the fridge it runs for a split second then dies. the customer said she previousley had the thermostat changed but is it a stat or a pcb controlling it ?

Hi drinkywinky

this frostfree model number CPC240FFK will do as you describe at switch on.

just leave it alone for 15 to 20 mins and it will start up, its just the pcb sorting its self out.

thank you bob both me and the customer were unaware of how this fridge operates 😳 i shall get back to her to replace the hinges then explain that she now needs to give the inside a good clean out 😆 thanks again
