hi, i have a candy CFMF 265 A-80 fridge/freeze originally the fault was that the fridge was freezing so i traced the fault to the temperature probe but the problem i have now is that i can’t find the old probe so i have cut out the insulation around middle of the evaporator on the left hand side and taped the probe to it but it’s still freezing and reaching -5c and on the warmest setting on the stat. Please could someone tell where i need to cut out the insulation

    many thanks

I Remember The Modification Well ! The Thermistor Failed & Then The Back Wall On The Fridge Froze Over (Compressor Running Continuously)I Am Pretty Sure The 1st Ones Started To Fail Back In 1994-1998 , So I Decided To Draw A Diagram For All The Candy Engineers To Carry Out The Repair (As So Many Of These Were Deemed BER) I Will Look Through My Technical Drawings & Find Out . . . . Looking From The Back Its Top Left Cut Out With A Stanley Knife A Small Rectangle Flap & The Sensor Fits Into A Small Cove (Tunnel)Then insulate with a small amount of polystyrene foam Will Dig Out My Drawing With Exact Dimensions (I hope) john
