We have a Candy N1B purchased July 2003, ref 844674/CPCA 270FFK – those may be Comet references, not sure.
The SuperFreeze yellow light has been blinking for 3 days. Temperatures are normal, all seems to be OK.
It is not overstocked, nor is there a lot of new stuff in to freeze, and the thermostat is set at 3 [mid range].
Does this indicate a latent or developing fault? And is it repairable, or should we go shopping?
Thanks!
this amber light can be reset by switching off the appliance for 5 mins before switching it back on. it flashes to warn of a defrost malfuction that has happened three consecutive times, has the freezer door been left open at any time as this can cause this fault.
Re: Candy Fridge Freezer on the blink? – thanks Bob!!
Spot on advice, Thank you!
I cannot thinbk of the door being left open like you said, and we have no kids around. Anyway, all seems OK. Pity they do not cover that advice in the manual – maybe it is a way of keeping the service team in work?
Again, many thanks. [the wife will be disappointed though because for some irrational reason she does not like this fridge!]
