ParticipantMy Candy Fridge Freezer (numbers on nameplate are CPC 240FFK, CF24) is freezing everything in the fridge compartment. Its also making constant loud whirring noises. I recently moved house so the fridge freezer was moved around and tilted quite a lot in transit.
Altering the thermostat seems to have no effect whatsoever on the temperature, so i’m wondering if the thermostat might be broken. If so, how easy is it to replace a thermostat? Thanks

Hi Spikydiner
your fridge freezer does not have a thermostat fitted its controled by an electronic pcb.
if you turn the temprature control to the 0 position does your fridge stop working or keep running.Bob.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the info. My partner has spotted the module for sale and is keen to have a go at fitting it himself. Can you give us any tips on how to do this?
Thanks

Hi
I have exactly the same problem, in that the fridge keeps running all the time and freezing my food, even though the control is on it’s lowest setting… 1
Although I can turn mine off as it clicks just before it gets to zero, and stays of for a short time. But as the control springs back to 1, this is no use.Spikydiner, did you fit a new one and if so, how did you get on?
Thanks

Hi gussay,
haven’t fitted a new module yet as we have a lot of food to eat up in the freezer before switching it off!
Should fit it next week so will let you know how it goes.
Spikydiner.
