Hi there, I have a frost free candy fridge freezer, approx 9 years old. For the last 12 months it has been in my integral garage. During the winter it was getting too cold and alot of ice built up inside at the back, it was de-iced and seemed to be working ok but over the last couple of weeks the top part has not been freezing properly.I wondered if it is worth getting a repair man to have a look at it or should I replace it?
A new one would have to go in the garage and , as I have read putting fridge freezers in garages is not a good idea, I thought maybe I should get seperate appliances. I previously had a small zanussi freezer in there for years with no problems. I would also prefer to stack one on top of the other if I got the same make and size. Do you think this would be possible or would I need to have some sort of shelf built for the top appliance to stand on? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
If it’s Candy and 9 years old your already a winner,my advice don’t push your luck,it’s time is up.
Good idea to get two seperates, the small chest freezers are very cheap in comparison and are better suited to garage use.
plenty of cheap options too for a second fridge.
