ParticipantHi All
Has anyone got a service manual for one of these that they could send me please.
I had to go and visit this machine because it wasn’t tumbling under load and another engineer had walked away from it because he didn’t want to strip it down to get to the start capacitor, I have changed the start capacitor and it now tumbles happily but I can not get any heat, I have already checked both NTC’s from the board end (30K Ohm) and the bimetallic stats and heater (29.0 Ohms), the machine is perfect on insulation tests and there are know visible signs of damage to the board, I have also made sure it has wet clothes in it and now I am stumped.
Any Ideas
Thank you
Jem

Having been through the machine again today with a fine tooth comb I think it has to be the board but have never known a low start cap take out the board before – I just wish I had functional tested it yesterday before I started the strip down then I could be 110{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that it wasn’t something that I had caused.
I would still appreciate a service manual if anyoune has got one.
Thank you
Jem

I don’t think there is any chance changing the cap would affect heating,
Back to basics. Is there a supply to the element?

Email me your email Jem and I will email you an email of the test procedures. Or, give me your address and I will post you a 2.5lb lump hammer. Both are equally as effective IMHO in resolving the issue IMHO. 😉 😀

I changed the start cap for a no tumble fault which has now been cured, it was only on testing it afterwards that I found the no heat fault.
Martin – are you sure that 2.5lb is large enough?
