Went to this tumble dryer the other day. Complaint was “runs for a few seconds, then stops with all lights flashing”. Sure enough, thats what it did. Runs for about 15 seconds, then aborts with all six leds and the start led flashing continuously. Turn it off, try again and it did the same for several attempts. Definately starting to heat. And then, lo and behold, it started to work and I could not get it to fail. It was in a shed, it was a chilly day, but not freezing. Got a call back today to say that it is doing the same. Does anybody know what this means? Could it be because it is in a shed? Machine is about 18 months old and has not given any trouble up until now.
    Cheers,
    Dave

its too cold, the front duct sensor detects the ambient air temp and aborts if its to cold, there is a software upgrade for the module. tell the customer to remove the fluff filter and put a warm hand on the sensor down the duct for a minute, if it starts thats the problem, better still get it moved indoors for a day or two.

Thanks Bob, that’s what I thought. Still a bit of a crock though isn’t it?
