my washer works fine except the clothes smell horrible/mouldy as soon as they come out , I unscrewed the drain plug,the drain is not blocked , pulled machine out, hose not kinked,what could it be? ran a 90 degree wash with washer cleaner , no better.

Probably well gunged up with soap residue after hundreds of wash cycles using liquid/gel products. No short quick answer here as I’m thinking the whole inner tub and drum are thick with it and doing 90 degree washes will only make it far worse.
I may be wrong of course but that’s usually the reason 9 times out of 10..
