As the title describes, the washer stopped working partway through a wash with just the door lock light continually flashing on the main panel.

Switching off and on again (I’m used to computers…) didn’t make any difference.

I thought initially the drain pump might have been blocked; it wasn’t, nor was the waste pipe. I did try following the instructions on this site to determine the error code, but either the instructions aren’t very clear, or I’mm a bit daft; I couldn’t get any consistent results, but both myself and my wife thought it might be code 3- a drain pump issue.

Connections & wiring were checked and the pump replaced. No joy.

Since then I’ve all replaced the door lock too but the error remains. If anyone could help with either an easy to follow diagnostic guide to getting the error codes, or some other advice as to what might be the problem, I’d be extremely grateful.

Help me Obi-WhiteGoods, you’re my only hope!

I suspect the Error 03 code to be the issue and as usual, the hoover Error code gives a misleading report.

If I were you I would suspect a faulty ( Earth leak) on the heater.

To confirm you will need to use megger or have someone with one whom knows how to use it confirm I am afraid, if it is a faulty heater, be prepared to find the PCB to have been damaged as a result, hence the erroneous fault code.
