Hi i have a Candy Grand Evo 9143 d/1-80. Symtoms are that the machine is not filling with water. I have been getting error 04. Reading up I know this means

Multiple instances of anti-flood contacts in pressure switch being made
•Check for overfoaming evidence – can trip pressure switch
    •Check wiring to level sensor
•Check pressure switch is not defective
    •Water inlet valve locked open

So far I have replaced the inlet valve with no result, then replaced the pressure switch, with no result. Now im stuck. When the washine machine is on there is no errors. As soon as I close the door I get error 04. Im guessing the problem might be at the other end of the pressure switch hose (which at the minute im not sure how to access too). Anyone else had this problem that can point me in the right direction. Or is it a call to the candy service guys? thanks in advance,
    Paul

Disconnect the air hose at the pressure switch end, select programme the shut the door. If the error instantly clears then the air chamber (part of the welded tub) is blocked. If the error doesn’t clear then the programme module is faulty.

Thanks for your reply Martin. I disconnected the hose at the top as you suggested and I still get the 04 error. Would you suggest buying a replacement program module? looks easy enough to replace. I just don’t want to fork out for a replacement module and still no luck. If it comes to more than the fixed price repair my Mrs will go mad lol. There is a second hand working spare on ebay for £18 pounds so im guessing its worth a try. Process of elimination and all that. nothings changed, ive manually filled the drum and done a few drains incase it changes anything with the pressure system or drainage. everything else hits up with an error or just freeze’s the display. Thanks again for getting back to me.
