Candy Grand Vita GV169TWC3b/1-80 issue

Last night the machine stopped mid cycle and would not pump out. I noticed it came up with an error number. However, I put it through to the drain and spin cycle which sorted out. I noticed it was making some unusual gurgling sounds and came to the conclusion that the filter was blocked. I was unable to get it out and I took the pump and filter out this morning to clear it. I put every thing back together and tested it. It worked for 5 minutes then stopped mid cycle and all I am getting it 8’s flashing. It started up again an hour later but again stopped mid cycle. Mechanically it appears to be working, and coming to the conclusion it is the timing board. Any suggestions please?

Did you lay the machine on its side to access the pump by any chance?

Yes I did. After putting the securing/transport bolts back . It started again later and went through a whole cycle including pump and spinning. However, I tried to select another programme after that and it went dead again.
