Candy Grando intermittant pump?

Initial complaint of poor/no spin.

No error lights flashing, pump clear, brushes sound.

Set to spin and the pump started and drum started to turn smoothly.

The drain pump then started to cut in and out for short periods at the same time as the drum did some short spins. it the kicked into long spin and the pump appeared to be running all the time and it was spinning perfectly???

I just wanted to know if the pump operation is normal for this particular machine?

the pumps do cut in and out on spin its very annoying as you convince yourself that the pump has stopped working.

Ta, just wanted confirmation, lots of machines do this, especially washer dryers but unless you know exactly which ones it can be a nuisance.
