Had a nightmare changing the belt on this dryer. Found that the pulleys on the motor are damaged as well. Anyone know how to take the drum out…..I’ve taken all the screws out of the back as on the old ones but the drum is not budging. Is the backplate welded on to the cab or have they mastic’d it on. Any help appreciated I’d love to recycle this bugger but it’s an impatient insurance job.

    Cheers

They are really tight it’s the adhesive they have used the way I found get the drum to release is easing a flat blade screwdriver in where the heater sits,a tip on fitting new belt which you may well need is to loosen the motor bolts slightly hope this helps you

Thanks, was thinking it was a mastic but didn’t want to prize it. I hate newer Hoover stuff with a passion I used to keep for Indesit.
