The 16 position selector switches on these late Candy based machines are awful. They often have dead spots or will not select programs correctly. I have found that soaking the selector with switch cleaner / lubricant spray and twisting it back and forth quickly (power off) works 85{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time. Leave the cleaner to evaporate (5 mins) and then plug in and all should be well.

    HTH,

    Steve.

switch cleaner did the trick hope it lasts. its always the ones out of town that seem to need a return call, still keep my fingers crossed.
