had my local supplier get mea quote for replacement main oven thermostat

says its £73.00 plus Vat retail

this stat is similar to a range of stats as its only a
push in at back of control switch,

anyone have a more realisitic cost of replacement or offer an alternative one

92128719 Connect have it at £48.50 + vat. with no pattern equivalent listed. Masterpart P.O.A. Looks like a perfectly simple two tag stat with 1/4″ flat shaft. You could get half a dozen or so cheap pattern stats for a lot less and choose the one that fits best. Or take the old one, including knob for temp range, in to your local supplier and see if he can find you a match from stock.
