Hi, First post so please be gentle!

I have inherited a Candy TCP21/1x double oven with a kitchen bought on eBay.

I have wired it in and all seems to be working (apart from the timer which doesn’t seem to light up at all) but for an elecrtical ‘buzzing/humming’ noise that starts when it’s turned on at the wall but when all of the oven’s controls are at ‘off’.

Also when using the top oven or grill or even when the light is just turned on there’s air blowing outwards, from between the top of the top door and the bottom of the control panel.

Sould I be worrried? Are these faults or just does it just need turning off at the wall when not in use. I’ll admit I’ve always been used to gas so this is all new to me.

    Re: Candy TCP21/1 buzzing noise.

Mmmm…I Think I’m getting somewhere. I had a play with the (non working) timer (clock doesn’t light up), pulled a wire off and taped it up and the buzzing’s gone. All functions seem OK but still got the issue of the top fan blowing outwards.

Even with just the light on, on the top oven/grill the fan’s blowing, outwards between the top of the door and the bottom of the control panel.

    Is this correct?
