ParticipantHello,
I have acquired a Candy Combiwash there appears to be no support for this machine here in Aus. I would like to get an instruction manual for it, ( I read the post on instruction manuals by Martin, and can see that getting a manual for it may be difficult) however before I try to get one I will need to know the model , it is marked Candy Combiwash on the front but there is nothing else on the machine that looks like a model number, it has a barcode sticker with 705 3105657 and 0333 below that, is it possible to tell the model from those numbers. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks John Ely.December 20, 2005 at 12:56 pm #158482Dave_Conway

That’ll do, that’s the product code 🙂
Model number is C1261 made for the UK market around 1996

John,
I would think that possibly GIAS (Hoover/Candy) do still have a copy of the User Booklet if you enquire direct to them?

Thankyou Dave and Martin, do you have an email address for GIAS I tried to use the comments form on their website but had no success.

An email address is unlikely to help you as they almost certainly will fail to respond. Best get a relative in the UK that can get it for you and post it on to you in OZ 💡

Thanks for the reply Martin, however I have no known relatives in the UK. , after trying the machine I feel that at this stage the instructions may be a little premature ,the machine does very little. I bought it at an auction it had apparently been in storage for some time, when I first got it the timer/controller knob was very tight to turn it is much freer now but the machine wont fill , on turning the knob it will at one position go into a washing action briefly and in another will spin for a bit , but at no stage is there any voltage getting to the water inlet valves, is it possible that the contact arrangement in the timer has become seized due to being unused for a long period. Are wiring/circuit diagrams available for these washers.

Give it up as a bad job John and ask Santa Claus for a new one I reckon! 😉
