    Experiencing a grating fan noise when either the grill or top oven is turned on.
    Any ideas?

    Cooling fan above the top oven will be the problem. However, you have a gas top on this oven which will have to be removed for access; therefore we cannot advise you further.

    Many thanks for the swift replies.
    Just one question, what harm would occur if we just ignore the grating noise? – it goes silent after about 10 minutes of the grill being on.

    wards, please calm the tone of your reply, this is most unhelpful and doesn’t show any thought into the question being asked.
    I have no problem in getting an authorised person to fix the fan, however out of interest, I was wondering why a cooling fan is used? Not all ovens have such a fan and therefore it is a valid question for one to ask.
    I would welcome a helpful reply and thanks to the for the information so far.

    caps on sorry for that :oops:the cooling fan is for keeping the fascia and control knobs cool,however other models incorporate a metal cover(heat shield) which is attached when using the grill,HTH 8)
