We have a Cannon gas cooker “Professional 60 – C60GPC”, I guess about three years old.

Recently after setting the Minute Minder (countdown timer to beep when the cooking time is up), I’ve noticed that the display instead of being a “steady” display, is “pulsing”, probably about 3 times every 2 seconds – a bit like a heart beat.
Sometimes, but not constantly, when the oven is off, the time of day clock also “pulses”.

I guess the timer unit is on it’s way out.

Anyone got any thoughts on why it may have started behaving like this, and if needs be, how much a replacement timer unit will cost and if I can fit it myself? I’m reasonably capable with electrics and taking things apart and putting back together again.

The oven, grill, top oven and hobs all work fine, it’s just the display which is on the blink, so to speak!!

    Many thanks in advance.

common fault after a few years, new timer is needed or put up with it as it is

Sorry for the slow reply, but much appreciated. I think we will live with it.
