I’ve a problem with the bottom oven lighting…

The (main oven) flame DOES eventually work, but only after it’s been been on the “pilot light” for around after half an hour, and then only when it’s been turned off then on again. You can tell it’s going to work when you turn it off, because the flame gets momentarily “high” just before being extinguished, if that’s a clue as to what could be wrong…

I’m in France, so I can’t just call out a Corgi person, and I’d like an idea of what could be wrong (and poss order the replacement part if need be from UK) before getting someone here to fit it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Iain

    Re: Cannon Chichester oven problem

Only just spotted this one – sorry………

Thermocouple failing, or possibly oven thermostat itself most likely candidates.

They must have some sort of Gas Register in France – we don’t let people repair their own appliances over here for the obvious reasons.
