KeymasterFunny that…if you take it through a doorway & bash the front of the oven into the door frame, then you end up with a fantastic zillion piece jigsaw puzzle.
to say i’m gutted is an understatement. It never even made it as far as my kitchen. Bought it secondhand for a good price, but now it’s just about useless.. I rang cannon (hotpoint?), but they say the outer glass is no longer available.
There must be a replacement glass panel somewhere…I can’t imagine that there isn’t similar glass available for a similar Canon white model? (certainy there appears to be lots of Canon white cookers in 60cm!) At this point I’ll take any suitable cannon model white lower over door glass in 60cm wide.
Any ideas?

If you can let me know the model number of the cooker, there may be a similar style or colour that will physically fit.

If this a free standing cooker and you have “glass cover” on your household effects insurance you can make a claim under that cover.
If it’s a “build in”, the cover is through the buildings insurance.Shane.

Unfortunately, I’m renting (so no buildings insurance).
Some more research has revealed a bit more….
It is Cannon Harmony (dual fuel) in white. I’ve downloaded the corresponding manual from the Hotpoint service website & that says it’s a model number 10215G.
Having a bit more “surf” about, I reckon the white Cannon Cambridge – model 10287G – will have the exact same bit of glass on the front of the lower oven door (it’s the same width & style) .
Many thanks,

It won’t fit, it’s a completely different door handle arrangement so it will be smaller. The only alternative I can come up with is the brown door glass for the equivelent brown model.
You may want to consider replacing both door glasses as an alternative, they would cost £65.38 inc Vat for the pair and about £10 in postage.
Please don’t be tempted to just order a 60cm Cannon white glass, as anyone dealing with that order will most likely not accept it back if it doesn’t fit.
Dave.
