Cannon Lincoln 10255G MK2 gas cooker oven not heating

Hi all,first to say i will NOT try to fix myself,just want to know if it is time for a new one as it is 12 years old BUT otherwise in good condition . Anyway,the oven burner ignits & pilot flame is on BUT will not heat up on any setting . Thanks for any advice (including cost for pos. parts & labor ?) Thanks,B.

Thanks,i was also told on the phone to a local firm that it may be FSD or gas valve/thermostat (which is more £)??? as the pilot flame IS lighting up in the oven BUT will not fire up to temp. in any setting is this poss.??? (grill & hob x4 are working)Thanks for your time…& are you covering Romford Essex ?

FSD will be faulty not the thermostat 99 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain I would charge about the same for that

Well…can not find any local who wants to price the job… can not risk £75 for half hour outfits…The Indesit lot want £150(fixed price) as it is over 5yo …Time for a new one me thinking..Unless someone on hear can help/know of someone( Romford Essex) ? OR recomend a good 50cm gas oven/grill to replace this one ?? THANKS , B. ❓

LOL had to buy a new cooker…had to be fitted by gas safe enginner…told me the new cooker will not last as long as more to go wrong …also told me he used to charge £85 to do a fsd BUT will not do fix old cookers any more as this is dirty work.Shame to scrap it BUT i will not play with gas and spent to long messing around …will see how the Sunday roast will cook using a “continental oven” for the first time…pizza today has taken a bit longer to cook but come out better than ever !!!

Gas cookers with a continental burner will cook a pizza better as the burner is in the base of the cavity, a british burner is at the back so in theory should cook your roast better.

^^^ BEST roast EVER…easy to control,no need to turn anything around takes same time as old cooker but one mark higher …did myself a fevor – never look back ! AND the space inside the oven is massive! shelf going all the way back…good looking cooker as well (Baumatic BCG520) ordered online without looking at one in the shop…and VERY HAPPY !!!

:offtopic: Baumatic gas cooker …nice machine BUT built/finish is SHOCKING !!! broken thermocuple,paint defects,screws forced in.brass nut falen out from bottom (?) shelves with sharp edeges,back plate fitted by a blind…with rezor sharp edge & corners + bent /forced screws/pan supports paint scraches easy AND this is only what i CAN SEE as a user !!! what a let down as it looks good & works good. Anyway Baumatic are coming to finish the job next week…shame it was not done in the factory…I wonder who makes freestanding gas cookers for Baumatic..only says made in the EU ???

Baumatic dont make much at all these days, made for them normally as cheep as possible! Stopped selling them because of endless customer complaints!
