Hi Dave,
The main problem is the oven seems to be turning off in the middle of cooking, as if a timer has been set. If we can identify the model and get the manual, maybe we can see if there is a setting that can be changed perhaps?May 3, 2017 at 8:49 pm #447340electrofix

so how do you get it to work again ?
what I am thinking is a lot of ovens have an overheat thermostat that shut it down when it gets too hot. normally when they trip it turns off the clock too but not all the time. that’s why I asked if it came back on as I would expect if you left it long enough it would reset.
you could also check if the oven is fitted with a cooling fan to blow air in the casing so do some don’t. if yours has one and its not working it will cut outDave

The oven goes off after a few minutes and the clock starts to flash, if the button is pressed it carries on working again sometimes for a minute, other times for 10. Even in the middle of the night when the oven isn’t being used the clock resets and starts to flash. We have had a cooker engineer have a look and they have disabled the clock so the oven works completely manually and now it seems fine. I can only assume there is a fault with the clock as the oven works perfectly now the clock has been isolated. It still keeps flashing after a few minutes but now it is disabled it doesn’t turn the oven off. We are still searching for a manual though in case we need any spare parts so if anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated. Thanks Dave for your suggestions.
